Units

WarExpand fields land, sea and air units. Each unit is trained at a production building, consumes a specific ammunition in combat, and comes in numbered tiers with their own attack, defense, speed, range, volume, build time, cost and upkeep.

Tiers

Every unit starts at Tier 1. Higher tiers are unlocked through research and improve the unit's stats; the in-game unit panel shows one tier at a time, and each unit page here has a table comparing all tiers.

Counters

A hard-countered unit takes extra losses and cannot retaliate against the unit countering it. Jet fighters engage the units they counter exclusively. Everything not listed here trades on raw stats.

Bombardment

These units attack automatically from range on a 15-minute cycle instead of engaging directly. See Bombardment.

  • Artillery: while idle, projects a 30 km strike zone and bombards every enemy or neutral army inside it every 15 minutes. Only artillery can return fire against it.
  • Jet Fighter: bombards enemy armies within 12.5 km every 15 minutes, even while moving. Only Anti-Air and Frigates can return fire against it.
  • Anti-Air: automatically bombards hostile aircraft within 50 km every 15 minutes.
  • B2 Bomber: bombards hostile land armies within 25 km every 15 minutes, even while moving. Only Anti-Air can return fire against it.

Stealth and detection

Covert units are invisible to enemies while the army contains only covert units; detectors roll to reveal them once per 10-minute scan. See Stealth and Detection.

Domain Covert units Detectors
Land Ghost Infantry, Griffon Scout Vehicle, AWACS, Strategic Radar
Sea Submarine Destroyer, AWACS, Strategic Radar
Air Stealth Helicopter, B2 Bomber Recon Drone, AWACS, Strategic Radar

Transports

Cargo is a m³ budget: each carried unit consumes space equal to its volume.

  • Naval Cargo: carries land and support units, up to its cargo volume (a m³ budget; each unit consumes space equal to its volume).
  • Plane Cargo: carries land and support units, up to its cargo volume (a m³ budget).
  • Aircraft Carrier: carries jet fighters, up to its cargo volume (a m³ budget).
  • Griffon: carries ghost infantry only, up to its cargo volume.
  • Stealth Helicopter: carries ghost infantry only, up to its cargo volume.

Stances

Every army has a stance that decides when it fights:

  • Attack, engages any hostile army in range or on its node.
  • Defensive, never starts a fight, only fires back when attacked.
  • Passive, never fights, not even in retaliation (it can still take losses).
