Ammunition

Every unit and fortification that fights expends a specific ammunition. Ammunition is crafted in batches; cost and craft time scale with the number of batches. Without it, a unit or fortification cannot fire.

Three kinds

  • Unit ammunition: crafted in a district from the Unit Ammo tab of the crafting window, by the ammo production buildings (Ammunition Factory, Ordnance Plant).
  • Fortification ammunition: crafted for a district from the Country Ammo tab, paid from the country wallet (the cost scales with the number of members). It needs a National Ordnance Plant; a country without one cannot craft any.
  • Strategic ordnance: ballistic missiles and nuclear bombs, crafted as National Production and requiring a built Silo Launcher. See Strategic Weapons.

Supplying armies

  • Ammunition sits in the district inventory; load it onto an army like a resource, or open a unit tile in the army inventory to manage its ammunition.
  • Looted ammunition shows up in the battle report as spoils of war, together with captured cargo.
