Strategic Weapons

Strategic weapons are government-authorized ballistic missiles and nuclear bombs, launched at a district from a silo. They are the third kind of ammunition, strategic ordnance, alongside unit and fortification ammunition.

The chain

  • Missile Laboratory (building): researches and produces strategic missiles.
  • Silo Launcher (country fortification): required to craft, load and launch ordnance. A missile must be loaded into the silo before it can be fired ("Load a missile first").
  • Anti-Missile System (country fortification): intercepts incoming strategic missiles aimed at the district, consuming Interceptor Missiles.

Crafting

Strategic ordnance is crafted as national production from the crafting window: it requires a built Silo Launcher and is paid from the country wallet, with a cost that scales with the number of members in the country. Each ordnance has a build time, a cost in resources, an impact radius and a losses percentage applied to what is inside the radius.

No ammunition of this kind.
